The NGO SOS Méditerranée announced in a press release that 68 migrants in distress had been rescued by its ambulance vessel L’Océan Viking in international waters off Libya on Sunday morning. The shipwrecked migrants, seen in images posted on the NGO’s X (ex-Twitter) account, were “in a double-decker wooden boat that had left Zouara in Libya”, the statement said. The SOS Méditerranée team and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies are currently taking care of the migrants
