Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and multimedia publishing from the Bilingual Christian University of Congo in Beni/North Kivu, Laetitia Kasongo has more than ten years of experience in journalism and communication. She worked as a journalist reporter at Radio Graben and Radio Rwanzururu respectively before becoming a communications officer in a brewing company in the city of Beni in North Kivu province in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  In 2013, Laetitia left Beni to work in Goma, the tourist capital of the country. She will then be hired first as radio and television manager then journalist reporter and presenter at Mishapi VT television.  In 2017, she started the online press and her article on the female orgasm was part of the series of articles that in 2018 allowed the bloggers’ platform Habari DRC to win the Index On Censorship Award.  Since December 2019, she collaborates as community manager in the project “Amour Afrique Congo”, a sexual and reproductive health project of Habari DRC. Together with her colleagues, she managed to reach 200,000 subscribers in one year thanks to multiple strategies. In 2020, she was appointed Field Coordinator in the same platform following her dynamism. She is also a professional photographer licensed by Nyiragongo Ngoma Production.

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communication (in Written-Press) from the Higher Institute of Journalism and Communication (ISC) of Dakar, since 2010, Ayoba FAYE is credited with more than ten years of experience and practice in the profession of information processing.  After the Walfadjiri Group in 2011 and the Webgram Agency in 2014,  as a content producer, he joined the editorial staff of PressAfrik in December 2016  before being promoted in July 2017, editor-in-chief of the site which has been created and put online since 2008.  He was awarded the Second Prize for Best Online Article at the Gala des jeunes reporters du Sénégal in 2019. He was also distinguished at the EJICOM First Prize in 2021 in the Fact-Checking category.

Maïmouna Lo is a veteran director and producer with 15 years of journalism experience. She holds a higher degree in English from the University of Nouakchott. She entered the world of journalism in 2007 through a competition organised by the national television of Mauritania. Sensitive to migration and human rights issues, she has hosted for several years on the national channel of her country programmes that promote the cultural diversity of Mauritania: “Leral yoon wi” (light the way) and Xaragn ci jamono (talent of the moment). As a trainer and devotee of mobile journalism, she has introduced young people in her country to citizen journalism. She is currently the head of the Association of Women Reporters of the Mauritanian national channel. Maïmouna Lo has been training since 2020 at the Centre d’Etudes des Sciences et Techniques de l’Information – CESTI Dakar. She is the winner of the second TV prize of the documentary on migration organised by IOM Senegal. In her perpetual quest for progress, Maïmouna Lo is always ready to explore new horizons.

Diomma Dramé holds a degree in journalism and has over 10 years of experience. She started at the daily newspaper Wal-Fadjri, which belongs to one of the largest private press groups in Senegal. Diomma Dramé also worked at Ouestaf-News, a sub-regional online media covering the 15 ECOWAS countries before joining Africa-Check, the first French-speaking media house specialising in fact-checking. Diomma’s experience has been recognised several times by her peers at the international level: twice nominated for the Wameca Prize in Accra (2018, Human Rights category; 2019, Sustainable Development category) and at the national level: 1st prize in the written press in various fields (migration, gender…) Beside the press, she has authored for international institutions (Unesco, Enda-santé…) reflective documents on the Covid-19 pandemic. Diomma is currently a freelance journalist and collaborates with different national and international media in various fields.

Seydina Bilal DIALLO holds a higher degree in journalism (in written press) from the Centre d’études des sciences et techniques de l’information (CESTI) at the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and has more than a decade of experience in journalism. Since September 2012, he has worked in numerous publications in Senegal. He has also participated in the writing of several journals on themes such as land, oil and gas, gender parity, etc. He was crowned First Prize in the written press of the 9th edition of the annual press gala organized by the Convention of Young Reporters of Senegal (CJRS) on January 19, 2019. He also won the award for Best Print Press Article and the first EJICOM AWARD for Ethics and Excellence in Journalism, 2018 edition.
