“Travelling doesn’t just change the places we visit; it reveals who we are and what we are willing to become for others.” This is how Nado Daniella, also known as La Plénitude (The Fullness), describes her journey to Senegal. After completing her English studies in Cameroon, she arrived in 2021 and soon discovered that her first challenge would be adapting to French language, the language that would now shape her new academic path.
From the moment she arrived, she noticed the differences between her home country and her new one. One rich, memorable experience followed another, gradually shaping this young Cameroonian woman. Within the Senegalese community, she observed certain differences, particularly in culinary diversity. It was these contrasts and discoveries that nurtured her sense of awareness, enabling her to embrace new values.
She has learned to be true to herself and to take pride in her country wherever she may be. Now, she sees Senegal as a place of exchange and learning, where every step brings her closer to herself and others.
This is how she moves forward: “attentive to others, faithful to her roots and ready to embrace the world without ever denying who she truly is.”
