In 2019, the resurgence of migration via unstable pirogues along the coast of Mauritania caught the attention of journalist Mamadou Diop. Since then, covering this deadly phenomenon has become his daily routine. In this interview, he shares with Dialogue Migration how he came to focus on this area, as well as the various media approaches he uses to report on migration.
