Dialogue Migration is an independent information platform focused on factual, human coverage of migration in Africa. Led by AfricTivistes, it brings together journalists, researchers and field actors to produce verified analysis, open data and authentic testimonies.

Dialogue Migration is funded by institutional grants (European Union, UNESCO) and international foundations supporting press freedom. Our funding is transparent and does not influence our editorial line. Details are published in our annual report.

Journalists are selected for field expertise, knowledge of local migration dynamics and commitment to ethical journalism. Each application goes through editorial validation including a fact-checking test and review of previous work.

Our methodology has four steps: identify the claim, gather evidence from multiple sources (official data, experts, international organisations), cross-check analysis, and publish a reasoned verdict. Each fact-check is reviewed by at least two independent verifiers before publication.
